Two floods in within 12 months took down Terry Phillips' ProdSquad North studio, one right before Spring, and the other right in the middle of fall.
The Flood:
The loss was more than a nightmare, everything from the DAW Computer, active monitors, both screens, only some rack mounted equipment and microphones survived.. Luckily all data lives on redundant drives, so there was zero loss of sessions, client audio, imaging FX, etc. The other saving grace was an insurance rider on the studio alowing the sudio to be rebuilt rather quickly.
The Construction:
Rebuilding sounds fun, and yea in a way it has been, but the basement flood also took out all the walls and sound insoluation. Giving some oppertunity explore new ideas, as time permits I'll post pictures of some with more details. For example, some ofthe sound isolation and damping used in the new studio worked beyond expitations, and while others did not. Pictures and details comming soon...
For now...
The Finished Product:
The studio v3.14!
If your a geek like myself your always interested in the gear, and setup. Since I'm always wanting to know what others have in their rig, it's only fair to post mine.

Below the main rack... Most importantly, BULL HORNS, then then Eventide, Symetrics 528e, Liquid Channel, Digi 002r, M-Audio 1010, and the Macbook Pro for editing/web/video on the go, out of view below, two power conditioners and and battery backups, legacy equipment like DAT for example, and a Mackie mixer used for microphone monitoring, and inputing other audio goodies, like my circuit bent toys and keyboards.

some other shots:
Right now most of the work in the studio is done, working on filling out my new web site with content, adding blogs, and building the all new client back end with is easier, faster, and effortless interface for the production director, imaging guy, and PD. Details to come of that too...
Input, questions, and comment, incouraged... I would love to hear what you think, talk shop, and geek out on studio stuff. Use the Contact button and details on every page to get in touch.
